Want to Go on a Trip?

If I told you I had just won 4 tickets all expenses paid which included a limo ride to and from NYC, tickets to Mary Poppins on Broadway, a three night stay in the Waldorf Astoria with meals included AND I told you Jen and I wanted you and your spouse, child, or friend to go with us would you go? There’s just one catch....
It’s next Monday-Thursday.
If you’re like me you’d already be figuring who you can get to cover for you at work, who could watch the kids, who you could switch this and that with etc. If you’re not the optimistic type but if you’re married to someone like me (because opposites do attract) you’d probably be overwhelmed at the thought but at the very least you’d be excited at the possibility.
Why am I asking these questions?
The reason is because it’s all about priorities. We will gladly rearrange our schedules if the perceived benefit is great enough. I am so fighting the urge to talk about church attendance, but anyway… here at Trinity Worship we are in the midst of a 4-week study on finances and this week we are going to be looking to God’s word as it relates to money and our priorities.
You have to admit, how we spend money reveals much about how we think about things. Have you ever heard the expression, “Your actions speak so loudly I can’t hear a word you’re saying?” What are your spending habits saying about your priorities? Times are tough for many and there are numerous people and businesses offering advice. Where can you turn?
Let me encourage you to ask God first what He would have you do, make worship this Sunday morning a priority, and allow Jesus to be the fourth man in the fire of your finances! If this topic is relevant to you and you're looking for a place to fellowship this week, listen to last week’s message Money and your Heart online, pray, and then join us!
