Pastor Dominic grew up locally
and in the spring of 1991, at the age of 22, while in Virginia
with a friend, accepted Jesus as his savior. He attended
Calvary Chapel of Albany where he came on board in a staff
position for several years before starting his own business. In
1994 he started a maintenance/construction company that focused
on servicing local businesses and on shopping mall remodeling.
He continued to serve at his church (which later became Reach
Out Fellowship) in various ministry positions over the years
as the Lord gave opportunity: Assistant Head Usher, Head Usher,
head of the Food Pantry, serving communion to shut-ins, Assistant
Worship Team Leader, Youth Worship Leader, head of the Young
Adult Fellowship, head of the Altar Team, Sunday School Teacher,
Bible Institute Instructor, and through his business, the overseer
of the church building maintenance and operations.
In 2001 his company had 9 employees and serviced over 100
major stores from Newburgh to Glens Falls. Recently married
and with a burgeoning company he began to seek the Lord’s
direction for his life and business. On a Friday night
while at his computer he received an answer—God was calling
him to be a pastor. God clearly gave him a vision
and direction. On Sunday night he shared with his family
that he felt God had been calling him and his wife Jen to leave
the fellowship where he had served for 8 years. On Tuesday
of that week he met with the senior and associate pastor and
shared the vision. They concurred and brought ordination
before the Board of Elders which met that Thursday. They
unanimously agreed to ordain Pastor Dominic and he was ordained
the following Sunday; Trinity Worship Christian Fellowship
was born. The following Wednesday he led his first bible
study as a pastor, and Trinity Worship has met every Wednesday
and Sunday since. Just 10 days earlier he had been considering
bringing on a foreman so that he might free up his time to
expand his business and pursuing more real estate interests. However,
the Lord had a greater plan for his life. He was able
to sell his business and continue to invest in real estate
in order to support his family during the transition.
He currently serves full-time as Senior Pastor and has three
children, Mary Rose and Sophia Grace and Samuel Benjamin. His
wife Jen works part-time and serves as the church bookkeeper. When
asked about his preparation and training Pastor Dominic says, “I
never planned on full-time ministry. Everything I did
at my last church I did because I loved the Lord. Those
many years of service gave me the opportunity to be mentored
by my pastor and to serve the Lord by serving him. I
learned submission and had a great many opportunities to see
God work first-hand. I thank God that he led me to a
home church where the pastor had the foresight to record all
of his verse-by-verse teachings from Genesis to Revelation. After
5 solid years of listening to hundreds of tapes, after 8 years
of service, and through many challenges God brought me to a
place where I could be used. To Him be the glory.”
