About TWCFFun Things We Invite You To

What to expect at your first visit...

We realize that everyone walks into a new church with different church experiences.  For some it’s exciting to visit a new church but for many the unknown is unsettling so let us tell you what to expect at your first visit.

Expect to be warmly greeted as you come!  As you enter through the side door across from our playground, please tell our ushers or greeters that this is your first visit to our church.  You will be escorted to our information table where we can get you a visitor pack.  If you’re early (for those of you who come late to a new church you might find this hard to believe but just as many come early) there will be people there to show you our Youth Church, Children’s Church and Nursery/Toddler Room if you’d like.

Expect your infant’s needs to be met in a loving environment.  Our Nursery/Toddler Room is for children three and younger.  You will find two workers there and a third comes back during service.  You will be given a tag with number and a corresponding number will be attached to your diaper bag.   If at any point in the service you are needed your bag tag number will appear on a screen in the sanctuary to summon you.  We ask that all parents dropping off do so at the gate rather than entering the room for convenience as well as safety sake.  Of course you are welcome to enter to tour our nursery/toddler room and even stay with you child if you like.  Our Toddler Room/Nursery Supervisor, Jen Sunukjian is available to answer your questions.

Expect that your elementary age children will have a blast! Our kids ages 4-6th grade are dismissed after worship to our Children’s Church.  Their teachers meet them in the kitchen area (the middle of the church) to escort them to class and can be identified by their lanyards.  Their program is age appropriate and often includes a craft or game to reinforce the Bible lesson.  We use the Gospel Light Curriculum. Our Children’s Church Supervisor, Cindy Lovegrove is available to answer your questions.

Expect that your teens will make godly friends and be challenged by God’s word!  We have a youth church for 7-12th graders which is dismissed later than our Children’s Church.  They have an interactive bible study especially tailored to them. We also have 7th/8th grade and 9-12 grade youth groups that meet Sunday night from 4:45-7pm.  Our youth groups are fun and promote real biblical discipleship.

Expect to worship the Lord in song!  We have 20 minutes or so of worship facilitated by our 10 member worship team.  Most of our songs are contemporary in nature however they must be praiseworthy. We do occasionally incorporate traditional hymns into our worship.  Some might call this a blended service but we believe God has a message for every generation.  It would be foolish to disregard the hymns; they are the history of the church.  It would be foolish to dismiss the worship of today and alienate a generation.

Expect the center of our service to be the preaching of God’s word. Our pastor preaches in an expository style with the gospel message presented with clarity and urgency. The bible is the primary source for all teaching.  The focal point of his message is discipleship and you can expect to leave each service with practical application for your life and ministry.

Lastly, expect to fit in!  Our congregation isn’t predominantly young or old married or single; there is not primarily one ethnic background or even financial station.  One thing we do have in common is that we are definitely all about family (because God is).  Whether you are a family of one or one of many extended families that regularly attend, we believe God has called His people to part of a church family.  Why not visit?  You probably don’t have to set your alarm (let’s face it, for most of us, compared to work, a 9:30 service is sleeping in) dress how you feel most comfortable, visit us and see for yourself.
